When the vendor updates their pricing, makes changes to inventory levels, changes a product description, or discontinues a product, the Auto Update function automatically pulls those changes into your Advance system nightly. You get a comprehensive, real-time catalog without lifting a finger.

Child Products: Controlled Customization

Sometimes, you need to customize a product for a specific client or program, but you don’t want to lose the benefits of real-time supplier updates. That is where Child Products come in.

A Child Product is cloned from a Parent Product but maintains a structural connection to it. This means the Child Product can still leverage the Auto Update function to pull in new pricing or images from the supplier, but you retain the power to restrict exactly what updates apply. You get the best of both worlds: automated supplier data combined with localized, client-specific customizations.

Clone Products: Total Independence

For total flexibility, Advance allows you to create Clone Products.

A Clone Product is an exact duplicate of a Parent Product captured at the exact moment of cloning, but it is intentionally disconnected from the “source” data. It does not receive Auto Updates from the supplier. This gives your team 100% control over the product settings, pricing, and configurations, ensuring that a supplier’s automatic update will never override your highly customized, locked-in settings for a specific company store or long-term contract.
